About the Event
Despite facial gua sha becoming super popular in the last few years, it’s actually a practice dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1364-1644) and rooted in traditional Chinese Medicine. Due to its growing popularity, there are lots of instructional videos online that are *less than safe* and not as effective as it could be. Facial cups are often cheaply made and instruction online is cringeworthy.
Facial anatomy is unique to anywhere else in the body because:
⭐️The muscles attach to the skin as well as bones. This is what creates our expressions.
⭐️The face and neck are extremely vascular and highly innervated with electicity.
It is important to be knowledgeable when adding gua sha and cupping to your skincare routine! So many patients say, ‘I have a gua sha but I don’t even know if I’m using it correctly.’ This class is for you! I am passionate about sharing proper methods to naturally enhance and maintain a youthful appearance. I am one of only a few acupuncturists in Phoenix certified in cosmetic acupuncture and facial rejuvenation.
